I’m a writer with a background in journalism and criminology. I’m working on a master’s in criminology and criminal justice policy (PDF) at the University of Guelph. I’m studying the effects of the Internet on crime news.

This blog is many things. It is a lab for playing with social media. It is, to borrow from David Eaves, a gym for my writing muscle. It’s also where I’ll write about things like tracking, storytelling, books, television, and whatever catches my interest. All of the above will be subject to time constraints, which will be tight until after I finish my master’s. If all goes to plan, that’ll be December 2010.
